Do you have archival materials to share?
As our film enters post-production, we continue our search for photos, films/videos, and documents related to Yusuf’s life and music. We are especially interested in materials related to Yusuf’s early years (1944–1974) when he often performed as Joe Blair/Joseph Oliver Blair and to his connections with Imam Kenneth Murray-Muhammad (Ken Murray), the Baltimore jazz scene in the 1940’s –1970’s, the Red Prysock Band in the 1950’s, and his Durham, NC years.
